HAIRCON 2026, you have been amazing.
Now that I’ve had a few days to recover, I’ve taken some time to reflect on our experience.
Firstly, it was incredible to get on stage and launch our new campaign, Rooted In. I was so proud to share it with the industry and alongside some truly inspiring people. Thank you to Adam Reed, Charles Gray, Elle Foreman, Ayeesha Coleman and James Busby, and a special thanks to Luke Ellis for hosting alongside me.
On stage, we said we believed we’d reach 200,000 trees planted by the end of HAIRCON. I’m delighted to say that we did exactly that. Maybe there’s something in manifestation after all.

Our stand was absolutely buzzing all weekend. So many of you stopped by to say hello, support us, share your stories and take home your own set of Leaf scissors.
To every single person who visited us - THANK YOU!
Your support allows us to continue growing our small family-run business into something that not only impacts our own lives, but hopefully makes a positive difference to the wider hairdressing community too.
As a small independent brand, it genuinely felt like we were punching above our weight this year. We were given a platform to tell our story, share our values and connect with thousands of people who believe in what we’re building. For that, thank you HAIRCON.
Thank you also to every artist who worked on our stand throughout the weekend. Your talent, energy and generosity helped bring the brand to life and created some incredible moments.
And finally, thank you to the friends, colleagues and connections I’ve made throughout this industry. I never take those relationships for granted. Hairdressing remains, in my opinion, one of the most vibrant, diverse, creative and supportive industries there is. This week feels like a milestone for Leaf.
We’ve planted over 200,000 trees! We’ve launched our biggest campaign to date. We’ve connected with thousands of hairdressers. And perhaps most importantly, we’ve been reminded why we started this journey in the first place.
We’re more motivated than ever to continue building a brand centred around community, sustainability and affordability, while finding new ways to solve real problems for hairdressers.
For now though, I’m taking a few days to rest and recharge with my wife Jane (who was last seen somewhere near the Glowwa stand…).
Thank you all for being part of the journey.
Steve x
