For founder Steve McManus, family isn't something that exists separately from the business. It's woven through the reason Leaf exists, the decisions behind it and the kind of company he wants it to become.
Steve's career has been spent in hairdressing, but his greatest influences come from the people around him - building a life and career alongside Jane, raising a family together, and never losing sight of the people he's doing it for.
What began as an idea to create better tools for hairdressers has grown into something much bigger: a community of artists, educators, barbers, stylists, partners and friends who have each become part of the Leaf story.
Where it all began
Relationships have always mattered more to Steve than transactions.
Collaboration sits at the centre of Leaf, and as the brand has grown, he’s been determined to retain the feeling of a small independent company that genuinely cares about the people and industry it serves.
